About the United Church of Christ
The United Church of Christ (UCC) was founded in 1957 from the uniting of four, much older, denominations: the Congregational Churches, the Christian Churches, the Evangelical Synod of North America and the Reformed Church. Since then, the UCC has continued the work of being a "united and uniting" denomination, working with others throughout the world to share God's love with all.
St. Paul's is a part of the
Rocky Mountain Conference UCC,
which spans Wyoming, Utah and Colorado.
St. Paul's is also an Open & Affirming congregation, meaning we welcome all people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. Visit the
UCC Coalition for LGBT Concerns for more.
The Charter for Compassion is a multi-faith, international call for compassion.
It reflects our understanding of the value and dignity of all faiths, all people, and all of creation.
You can also read the Charter here.
It is our mission to be an emphatically inclusive, progressive community on the path of Christ, seeking justice and peace for all creation through creative ceremony and celebration, soulful questioning, and acts of compassion and service.
