Pastor, Rev. Jamie Kepros

Picture
Jamie grew up on a farm in Iowa and went east for college where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Religion at Wellesley in 1999.  Having been raised Catholic, it took Jamie a few years to navigate the denominational waters and follow her call to ordained ministry in the United Church of Christ.  She received her Master's of Divinity at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO in 2009.  Jamie is passionate about her committment to the local church as it struggles to find its place in the postmodern age.  She loves people--of all sorts!--and is convinced that the spiritual journey is of utmost importance in our lives.  Jamie, spouse Rev. Sharon Benton, and their two cats enjoy spending time reading, watching films and contemplating the nature of existence.   Sometimes the cats lend their philosophical insights to these two progressive pastors.  Jamie's favorite bit of scripture is Matt. 19:26--
"with God all things are possible"
She invites you to join with us in exploring the possibilities at St. Paul's UCC.

Come Visit Us!

When you visit, you will see that we are a beautiful historic church building with a vibrant, living spirit!  You'll be warmly welcomed into our intimate worship space (there is an elevator for any who need it) and invited to join us for fellowship following the service.  Worship is our central practice, but you will soon find that our faith is lived in all aspects of life--from serving the community to our daily endeavors.

It is our mission to be an emphatically inclusive, progressive community on the path of Christ, seeking justice and peace for all creation through creative ceremony and celebration, soulful questioning, and acts of compassion and service.
